About Foah Farm

The Faculty of Food and Agriculture Farm was established in 1984 in 40 Hectares. The farm is located in Al Foah area about 15 Km north of Al Ain city.

United Arab Emirates University maintains the Faculty of Food and Agriculture Farm to support teaching, research and outreach activities.  Five Agriculture Engineers, one veterinary Doctor and two support staff along with 30 workers are the total employees of the farm. 

The farm consists of four units:

1. Date Palms and fruits unit. There are 14 genotypes of date palms and 4 types of fruit trees grown in this unit.
2. Crops and vegetables unit.  Eight and 1.5 hectares are allotted for forage and vegetable production, respectively.
3. Ornamental plants unit.  About five hundreds ornamental plants varieties are grown in these farm.
4. Livestock and poultry unit.  The livestock includes camels, sheep, goats, dairy cows.
